### Environment variable options 🔧
These optional environment variables can be set before running the script to change its behavior:
- ```NSL_DEBUG=1``` — Enable verbose execution tracing (`set -x`) in the install log. It's now **off by default**, so paths and values are no longer echoed into the log; turn it on when troubleshooting.
- ```NSL_DRY_RUN=1``` — Preview destructive actions (deletes and "Start Fresh") without actually removing anything. Each planned removal is printed with a `DRY RUN:` prefix.
- ```NSL_CONFIRM_START_FRESH=1``` — **Required** to run ```"Start Fresh"``` from the command line. Without it, a CLI "Start Fresh" refuses to run so it can't wipe everything by accident. (The Desktop/zenity confirmation prompt is unaffected.)
Example — preview what a "Start Fresh" would remove, without deleting anything:
